We're engaged!!

To all of you who do not know of our news yet, Dominic and I are now engaged. During our final couple of weeks at home before we moved to Dubai, Dominic proposed to me on June 4th. It was a beautiful, perfect day and setting. We had decided to go to the beach for the day, and then have dinner out at a nice restaurant. Little did I know that a proposal was in the planning!

After a nice afternoon spent on the beach, we went to the beach bar to have a drink before getting ready for dinner. Once we were dressed in our dinner clothes, Dom then suggested that before going back into town for dinner, we should take a walk along the pier to the lighthouse at the end. I thought he was being very romantic with this suggestion because the sun was just starting to set, and sure enough, as we walked towards the lighthouse, he stopped, got down on one knee, and proposed. It was beautiful and perfect.

We have yet to set a date, but we will be married sometime in 2007.

Further to the engagement...
Although we were here and heard {and saw the rock}all about it, the retelling of your engagement makes us so happy. We think that you should have included how hard Dom had to work to get you to actually leave the family and go out with him all by yourself that night. Love you and miss you lots, Mom
