Hope you are not sick of me by now, but I just have to let u all know how much fun im having and how beautiful this place was. This time the place was algonquin national park, a majestic and absolutely stunning area that pretty much symbolises canada in mind. Its hard to explain to u all how amazing this place actually is, i wouldn't know where to start. First there is the crisp clean air, the flamming colours of maple forests in fall, the many beautiful lakes, the diverse wildlife (although we didn't get to see a bear......damm), the untouched campsites, clean water...........blah blah blah i could go on forever so i will spare myself the trouble. The pictures that you will see dont really capture how great this place is, but they are amazing anyhow.
It was actually an interesting experience, becuase we didn't camp at a "conventional" campsite, we trecked into the interior of the park that is only accessible by foot and canoe, carrying all our supplies with us i.e portaging. Anyways basically u canoe along lakes and canals till u are happy and find a camp site u like. The campsites are totally secluded and in

On the first night we were at a conventional campsite hanging out with friends
the middle of nowhere. We canoed about 22 km in total, and let me tell you, your body certainly feels it after 2 solid days. Add to that the fact that on the first night the temperatue got to -4 (which we were not prepared for) and u have one worthwhile memorable expericene....hahaha. The second night was much better weather.....thank god. Our camp site was cool, it was on an island and we had our own beach, even though the water was cold i still went swimming!!!! Plenty of booze was conusmed by the bon fire at that site. By some stage of the night we would all be sitting on rocks singing and star gazing, mind u i have never seen sooooo many stars in my life!!!! Ok thats enough i have gone on tooo much.

Check out the pics.
Cheers,
Ben

This bird is called a Loon. I think its the national bird of Canada, maybe becuase the one dollar coin (known as a "Loonie") is named after it.
