During the night it poured on and off, the AM is windy and cool. After mass, we stopped at a Canadian favorite spot, Tim Horton’s. Like Dunkin Donuts, you see them everywhere in Canada, my what strong coffee. The wind was very strong as we made our way along the Viking Trail to Gros Morne National Park of Canada. What a magnificent natural area! The Discovery Center has a great slide show narrative. It seems the geology here marks a time when the continents of Africa and North America collided, pushing these rocks originally beneath the ocean to their present position, on land. Geologist from all over the world, come here to study rocks and fossils from the pre-Cambrian period of our earth’s history.
