WEATHER: Clear with smoky skies

PILOTAGE: No travel day. We sleep in (good fun), relax and visit with H & L more.

We were not discouraged yesterday when checking the crab pot, after dropping at 45’ on our way into the bay. Peter rowed out to check our first set after the tide changed but found nothing. Hauling it up today, though led us to believe either this was not good crabbing grounds or we didn’t have good bait (fish food kibble resembling dog food, coated in squid juice). So no fresh crab but thanks to our friends, we didn’t suffer.

It’s a lovely hot day that makes us all want to swim, so we do, a lot. We also feast some more on fresh salmon, corn fritters and Howard’s fresh plucked from the sea, Oyster Rockefeller, on the barbecue.
