Rest stop on the way to Halcyon

Monday morning we set out again heading northwest toward Nekusp. Once again we enjoyed an awesome drive along windy mountain roads - with no place to stop or pull over. But the views were incredible!! We drove 11 Km up into the mountains to Nakusp Hot Springs but decided not to stay there. So we went on to Halcyon Hot Springs and were very glad we did. What an awesome place this is with the pools looking out over Upper Arrow Lake and the surrounding mountains. We booked in here for 2 nights to enjoy the mineral hot springs - so relaxing!! Halcyon Resort offers the Lodge, chalets, cottages, cabins and a smaller full service RV park.

After enjoying the Hot Springs for two days we are totally relaxed!! So now it is time to head home to Chilliwack with one stop along the way. What a wonderful summer this has been, filled with family, fun and new experiences. Guess it's time to think of other things.

Well, it's about time for another trip "Down Under". Sept 6 we leave for Australia and what Lorraine is billing as her "last trip home". This will be Dwain's fifth trip there to visit his in-laws and see that wonderfully beautiful and unique country. This is really our only big trip this year. An earlier trip in 2016 to Oregon was cut short by health problems. All that is well now and we are rarin' to go. We'll do our best to keep posting regular blogs and notes so you can enjoy our experiences and see the sights through Lorraine's photos.... full info
