Wow for a change I was the first one to wake up this morning after a long night let night. This morning we walked throughout Seattle. This was really fun because we were almost the first ones out (we aren't used to the time change yet) and we were able to see the vendors set up a the Public Market and go to the first Starbucks ever!
Before we went to the Public Market we went to the first Starbucks. This was really cool to see. It had old wood planks as the flooring. The building looked like it was built in the 1920s and then Starbucks moved there in 1971. There was a huge line to go in, but we got there just in time before everyone came. As a souvenir from Seattle I got a Starbucks mug that says "Pike Place Market". After this we walked through the Public Market.
We walked through the Public Market about 3 times because each time we went back there would be more vendors that we didn't see before. There were many vendors such as a lot of fish (it smelled really bad). Daddy talked to one of the
first guys and he told daddy the the fish are from Alaska and Vancouver and they were huge fish. Some of the other vendors were selling glass poetry, t-shirts, jewelry, and this really cool journal that I may get. The journals were made out of leather and had acid-free recycled cotton paper. In it would be things about traveling and pictures.
At some point we walked all the way down to the water. When we got to the bottom mommy told us that there was 150 steps to get back up (it wasn't that bad). We took a lot of pictures dow there, but it was really foggy so you can barely see the background. They are still great pictures though! We didn't go to the ferris wheel because mommy didn't want to but its okay. After this we walked around the Public Market once more and then went to lunch.
After we walked through all of the town we decided to have lunch at this place someone recommended to us. We went to "Cutters" and this was such a good restaurant. At first I thought it was going to be this cheap little shack, but no it was
really nice and had a view of the water, which we were able to see when the sun started to come out. Once we were done our lunch we got back into the car and started our journey to Vancouver (I'm in the car right now).
4:00PM
Today we arrived in Vancouver around 4:00PM. Tonight we walked around the city and it made me wish that I lived here it's so beautiful and clean. First we walked from the Fairmont (the hotel we are staying in) to a Japanese restaurant called Coast. It was delicious. After dinner we decided to walk around more.
The first store we went into was Roots. They had so many sweaters that were so cute. I ended up not getting them because they were so expensive and I wouldn't be able to fit them into my suitcase. I think I may get them when we spend the day here on January 2. The next store we went into was Lulu Lemon. This was the biggest Lulu I've ever seen. Once again I didn't get anything for the same reasons, but I might get something on the 2nd also.
