UntitledBeautiful British Columbia is what the license plates read. And for good reason, this place is amazing. Vancouver is surrounded by ocean, mountains, and trees, and the people are all very active and spend a lot of time outside. The population is very racially and ethnically mixed, and 30%!i(MISSING)s Asian. In the morning we went to Dim Sum for brunch at a Chinese restaurant. If you have never been to Dim Sum you should go. The waiters and waitress come around non-stop with carts filled with different types of Chinese food, and all you do is choose and eat. After walking around China town, we went to a traditional Chinese Garden called Sun-Yat-Sen Gardens. From here we went to the Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia, where we saw artifacts of the Musqueam Tribes, one of the First Nation groups. Then we went to a Musqueam Reserve to learn about incorporating aboriginal education in the classroom. Interesting fact about the Musqueam: They are one of the few tribes that never signed any type of agreement with any government, and they use ‘band’ to refer to tribe. Finally, after our busy day I met up with friends from California who are studying architecture in Vancouver, for dinner. Another great day!
