Today's our final day in Canada so here's a quick update on what we've been doing since leaving the snow - no pictures unfortunately due to technical reasons but they will follow!!

Had a great last day boarding: went with Rob to the Blackcomb glacier and thanks to a bit of luck and Rob's great strategy we were 3 of the first people that day to reach the top of the glacier and ride down on all the fresh powder - it was absolutely without a doubt the best run and even the 5K cat track that we had to endure at the bottom was worth it! On top of that we had the best waffles ever at the Crystal Lodge and also got loads of great action pictures. So having survived 3 weeks of boarding and injury free (apart from a few bruises and Gareth's sore knee) we headed back to Vancouver and happily got rid of 2 very heavy and very full snowboarding bags. After a few days wandering around Vancouver in the sun (?!?!?) we came to realise that it's actually OK!! Highlights have been Granville Island (excellent food market) and the Aquarium (favourite aquatic animals were:
Sweet untracked POW!Sweet untracked POW!Sweet untracked POW!

with the effort involved, Gareth began to fade away.
Di - sea otters, Gareth: Tag the sea lion and strangly for an aquarium the sloth was pretty cool!)

We decided against going to Seattle (enough rain and hobos) and instead went to Vancouver Island on the ferry. We stayed in Victoria which was small enough to wander around on foot in a day and since it was sunny we worked hard for an hour sitting by the sea trying to get rid of the panda eye goggle marks we got in Whistler. We can also highly reccomend the Rocky Mountain Chocolate shop which does expensive but amazing toffee and chocolate apples - well worh a visit!!

So now we're back in Vancouver killing time before we head off to Hawaii tonight. Hopefully we will get rid of the panda eye goggle marks there for good!
