Our last full day in Canada and it seems so long ago that we were in Toronto. We have made and lost some good friends and
seen so many things. Today started wth a leisurely breakfast at a civilised time. Then out to explore. It was raining hard
so we bought a day rover ticket and set off on the bus.
The harbour is truly beautiful and after a walk around, we took one of the little water taxis across the bay.l
Saw the cruise ship that will take some of our group to Alaska. Felt slightly envious.
We did our shopping then stopped for lunch. A delicious salad. We then went out to Stanley park by trolley bus.
A lovely walk through an Indian village. Saw racoons for the first time. Babies left by their mother whilst she looked for food.
You have to be careful because racoons carry rabies here. Saw black squirrels too. Then down to the sea shore. Saw blue heron and canada geese feeding. Also saw seals fighting in the bay. It was a lovely afternoon and we came back to the hotel by underground. A steak meal at Earls then back to the hotel. Watching Doc Martin whist sipping wine.
Both os us are not looking forward to the long journey home tomorrow.
