We are now in Vancouver on the last two nights of our holiday adventure. We have said goodbye to our driver Steve and are preparing
to go on a fairwell dinner cruise tonight. Then it will be time to say goodbye to our guide John who has been fantastic.

Yesterday started with a walk down to the harbour and boarding a 60ft boat to go whale hunting. We were soon off and setting out into the Pacific ocean.
Pam was very brave but her nervousness was soon forgotten when to
we spotted our first group or killer whales. They are majestic
and I have fulfilled one of the great ambitions of my life. We saw many wore including young then headed through the fog bank
to the island outcrops where seals and sea lions were basking on the rocks. It was all too soon over and we had to head back
to Victoria. Then over to an old seaplane for a flight around the island. My Indiana Jones adventure. The engine started just like
in the old movies and very soon we were in the air. We never got above 2000 ft and so had a great view of everything. The landing
was very smooth and we were soon back on dry land.
In the evening we were given a guided tour of China town. We visited an old chinese doctor and looked at all the ingredients he had, including dried sea horse and snake skin.
Then a great 8 course meal. Delicious. After this we were guided through the old back alleys holding coloured chinese lanterns.
We were given a lesson in chinese writing, then the evening was over.
Today it was back to the ferry to take us to Vancouver. A short tour of the city and then a welcome return to the hotel.
Our room is good with air conditioning. and a comfortable bed.
