Day 8 - Thursday would be a much easier day than yesterday.

Still in Deep Cove, I walked the dogs with Kelly in the morning and when we got back the house cleaners were there working hard. They were a young girl-power group of cleaners. Kelly said it was a family business run by Polish immigrants.

While they were cleaning, Kelly and I went to pick up Cohen from his Summer School and had lunch at the Marina Grill just by the Second Narrows bridge in North Vancouver. The restaurant is located in an industrial area next to the water, so it's a place not too many tourists would come to. It's nice to go the hidden places where only the locals go.

We came back to the house where we chilled out some more and I took a few photos of the house and garden.

Today would be my final day in Deep Cove. Tomorrow I would be taking a bus down to Seattle to meet my 2 aunties and their families. It was a really special time with Uncle Bin Keng, Aunt Kelly and Cohen. They were really great to me and we had a

lot of fun together. I would catch up with them again after the USA part of my tour.

In the evening Kelly and I drove to Richmond to have dinner at Ah-Mah's house. We picked up uncle Bin Keng on the way from his office in Downtown. We got some local Chinese Take Out in Richmond which was very nice.

Kelly and Bin Keng drove back to Deep Cove that evening and it was good to see Mum and Ah Mah again after my Deep Cove Experience!

Kelly is a big fan of leopard print, so dotted through the house were leopard print things, including this great chair

This is an old photo in their house of the extended family back in Malaysia. From humble beginnings Uncle Bin Keng has done very well. Quite inspirational.

This is the garden up near the road at their place. It's quite a steep property, so they've done well to terrace it.

This was Cohen's tree house when he was a kid. It's great that they've still kept it there.

This is the very top deck next to the Garage. Great view, especially with the fire to keep you warm.

This is a great side shot of the house. They've really done it up nicely whilst still keep the integrity of the original design.

Here is a door painted by Kelly's artist friend Lindsay. That's Uncle Bin Keng's Saxaphone which he bought on Ebay, but turned out to be a lemon, so he used it in the garden!
