Christina Lake to Balfour The drivers license belonged to a certain Ingrid H. from Homer Alaska. We looked through the other stuff in the baggie: two credit cards, some camping brochures, and some receipts, one of which was from the same campground in Osoyoos where we had stayed, but 2 days earlier than us. Wouldn't it be fine if she was at the Christina Pines Campground where we now had set up our tents. We imagined walking up to her at her campsite and saying "Hey are you Ingrid and did you lose something on the #3 highway between Greenwood and Grand Forks?" I must admit that I have a bad habit of roaming around off-the-beaten paths that don’t usually qualify as tourist attractions. Sometimes, I have to do the same due to my work. In doing so, I have bumped into some of the predators in the bushes from time to time who could have possibly decide that there is no need for me to write the blogs anymore. I must say, I have been fortunate enough to come out unhurt each time. Some of my friends requested to pen down those experiences and I have been ignoring. Well, I made it to the Waterton Lakes National Park (sort of...) Leaving Kimberley a week ago last Friday I headed towards the town of Fernie, but I was unable to find a space in my planned campground, so I continued back into Alberta and ended up at Beauvais Lake (nice, but a little dull). Unfortunately, that meant that I ended up getting to Waterton Lakes National Park on the Saturday of the August Bank Holiday weekend in Canada, and the campsite was full. So I put my name down on the waiting list in the vain hope that someone who had already reserved a space phoned up and cancelled.
