Whyte Ave
I love the hustle and bustle I slept in pretty late, ate some really good left over roast beef from Chris' grandparents and made plans with Hayley to meet up! Around 7 I got dropped off at her moms house in Terwiligar, which is a beautiful neighbour hood filled with million dollar homes. One that Chris was admiring turned out to be a house that had a blood stain on the front porch from an Asian man brutally killing his father! Cassidy, Hayleys sister, made us a wonderful dinner of pasta and Caesar salad. She showed me a drinking game called higher or lower, where one person places a card down and the other has to guess if the next unknown card will be higher or lower. If they guess correctly 4 times in a row then it's the next persons turn. If they are wrong with their guess they had to take a sip of their drink. It was definitely a gambling game and I would have went home with no money if we were at a casino. Good thing I'm not a gambler! We finally made out way to Whyte Ave which is 40 blocks of shops, bars, clubs, restaurants, and the university of Alberta
Places to go
A few places I still need to check out before leaving Edmonton at the very beginning of it. It's the place to be for university students and people my age! Hayley and I walked around exploring the street, getting yelled at by scumbags "hey ladies come over here" (obv didn't) and checked out a few places like Squires, and The Mix. Since it was only 930 not a lot of people were there, but by 11 there were lines out the door. We witnessed the most awkward dancer ever take over the dance floor and jam out by himself. I was surprised at the amount of guys willing to buy us drinks and spend money on people they don't even know. We were smart though and never took their offers. We then went and checked out Billiards which is a pub that also has pool tables. We met a few people and ended up playing pool with our new friends Caleb and Ryan (my team lost 😞) and learning about cool places to visit while I'm in Edmonton. After our game I watched this guy play by himself and get every single ball in on the first try. He looked exactly like my good friend Matt Whorepool, but an older version. Once
Billiards Bar
What it looks like! we got bored we made our way to Hudson's which is a popular bar and looked around for a little bit until we got tired and I called a cab to take us to Hayleys. We didn't get too far on whyte ave because a lot of places wouldn't accept Hayleys form of ID, which was unreasonable since it was her health card. They take the security very seriously and scanned our cards and took photos of us to make sure they weren't fake. The busy nightlife was very intriguing and I hope to go back again before I leave Edmonton. I recommend anyone who travels to Edmonton to check it out atleast once!
