what a sight!
This particular wednesday we decided to go for the 1 1/2 hr drive to Drumheller - a small-ish town where a lot of dinosaurs have been found. So we piled into the car with Lora and her dad Bob and went out there.

On the way we stopped at Horseshoe Canyon, and it was incredible to see the insanely flat landscape suddenly give way to a canyon! Apparently the canyon was formed by glaciers, and lots of dinosaur bones could be found in the canyon.

It was such a hot day, that as soon as we stepped out of the air-conditioned comfort of the car the hot humid air hit us so hard it was hard to breathe! We had a look through the dinosaur museum and had a pasta lunch at Boston Pizza (pasta at a pizza place, strange huh).

When we got back into Calgary we went round to Lora's Aunty Jeri's house which is right on the man-made McKenzie Lake, met some cousins, and had a nice refreshing swim.
