Our Journey Begins

Finally, our journey begins……

As usual, we were getting ready for our trip until last minute. Needless to say, that Sam & I didn’t sleep, just too may last minute things to address. I also think part of us was afraid we would sleep in.

It was easy to wake up both Shivani and Tejas at 2:30am as they were so excited to leave. We caught our 6:15am flight from Abbotsford to Calgary with no problem. Abbotsford airport is very small, I think our flight was the only departure until 8:00am. Small but efficient – Sam got the full body pat at security.

Landed in Calgary just after 8 am. What a beautiful sunny, snow covered day. We had breakfast @ Cheers Restaurant but instead of Sam Malone we got daffy duck … that is mean.

We are tired but still looking forward to boarding the Luftansa flight to Germany. The kids have been great. No complaints – just a lot of questions.


Next flight onto Germany…. The flight is at least 40 minutes late.
