Although many people quickly understand the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as Dubai and nothing more (while there are a few who perhaps even know of Abu Dhabi as well), there is in fact much more to see and enjoy in the country. Being from Colorado myself and having developed an appreciation for the outdoors, the UAE provides many opportunities besides shopping! For people who would like to enjoy the outdoors life of this area, I strongly suggest you pick up a 4-wheel drive vehicle, and an outdoor travel book. Once you have these and some safety provisions, you are ready to do some true exploration. One aspect that I have really come to value in the area is the open land and places to go to. The weather was dry as hell, I was dehydrated but couldn't drink even water unless you are in closed doors. I was completely drained out but worth the sacrifice as my favourite picture was clicked right here!! ... read more
