I have the impression that there is not much else besides shopping to do, in Dubai. It is not nick named 'do buy' for no reason. :D But maybe I am wrong.

I am curious too about the replies to this thread, because I want to know if Dubai is a worthwhile destination. Reply to this

Hello Andy;

Well I have been to Dubai million times ... I think Dubai is a very modernised city and they are always try to do projects which will put the name of Dubai; number 1 in the world. For adventure trips and cultural ,, people they go outside dubai. It's difficult to do it on your own and i think you SHOULD go through travel agencey.

For a couple of nights in Dubai, tourist can do the dessert Safari trip, You can have a day trip or an over night there, Go for Camel riding, Sand boarding and watch the Sunset. You can also go in a trip in the Dhow at night, sit on a tradtional boat made by wood and watch Dubai.

Dubai it self have alots of shopping malls, go for Skiing in Emirates Mall, and check the Water Park Wild Wild Wadi in jumairah. Keep in mind that Dubai is expensive. You can also visit Ibn Batuta Mall, Dubai Mall, and The Festival City.

Hope this will help you little bit 😊 Reply to this

Andy is right! You can go for Dessert Safari trip.
You can also visit to “Wild Wadi theme park” Best water parks in the world. And i assure you that you will enjoy it. It’s adventurous and relaxed type water rides tour.

Hi,

An evening in the dunes is a must. Different ways to do them...I've been there few times and each trip was different. But the sunset is amazing. With your time frame, I would do the afternoon one, including the sunset and diner, you'll enjoy it and it's not that expensive.

For a half/full day, one of the water parks is a must do.
Wadi Wadi is the older one, the one at the Atlantis is brand new. Wadi Wadi has two bodyboard "pools" that are really fun, but the Atlantis is in general even more crazy!

2 hours at Ski Dubai is something if you love skiing...quite a place. To be honest it is an ecological non-sense...but a great technical place. The ski is not that expensive for 2 hours, I think if I do remember it's around 40usd per person with equipement.

You will have fun! That's for sure, regardless of the time you spend there.

Peter
