The last few weeks have seen a lot of stress...and a lot more stress is going to come in the next few weeks. So
this little break, planed months ago is a true welcome.

Four weeks ago, Christophe, Leslie's godfather and my best friend of more than 20 years wrote me a small email. I'm
moving to the United Arab Emirates for few months...when do we have a drink...the answer came straight on...on 31st
October. It's a small world for few of us!

So 2 days in Dubai before heading to paradise where I'm writting this entry. My last visit to Dubai was three years ago.
I'm impressed how the place has evolved so fast. Living in shanghai, I'm used to fast moving places...but this
place is amazing. It's also my fourth visit here in less than 5 years. So we had few clear ideas of what we wanted
to do with Christophe.

On the program, some shopping...obvious, but for our first day it was few hours of ski at Ski Dubai. Christophe was
amazed by the place...and we had a great time. This place has been open for few years. You arrive in with an outside
temperature above 30 degres, and few minutes later, you are enjoying proper snow, and a real 400 meters slope...fun
...fun...fun...

Our food program for the day was spent between a enormous indian lunch....and a great oyster diner with great wines...

The second day was another amazing stuff. We went all the way to the Palm. During my last visit, there wasn't any
building on this man-made fantasy group of islands...yet...and this time, the place is massive, fully urbanise...
and not really sexy.

We headed for the new Atlantis. First stop, the new Aquadventure. It's a brand new water park...with lots of marketing
around the sister property of the Atlantis of Nassau, Bahamas. Well, I went twice to the Wadi Water Park near the
Burj Al Arab....this one is even more crazy! Not cheap, but amazing rides all over the place.

After that, we made our way to see the massive aquarium of the Atlantis...in the lobby, sit a massive aquarium.
Guess what! They even have a whale shark in the tank! Imagine...a whale shark! Never saw that before in an
aquarium, and I did few of the great ones around earth! And he has a lot of friends to play with in that huge
place!

We ended the day by another great meal, this time it was lebanese....and a good cigar later, it was time to go
to the airport.
