May Treasure Hunt
Hello Karen, I found your blog in the Treasure Hunt and wanted to say how much I enjoyed it. Petra is on my list for next March, so this was not only a fun read with great pictures, but also had some good information for me. I will check out your other blogs.

Single Woman
Hello, I enjoyed this post - exciting day! I also would like to visit Petra, and Jordan in general. How did you feel traveling as a woman alone?

Petra and the Unexpected Adventure
While in Jordan I was in Aqaba and Petra, both places popular with tourists. I had no problem as an uncovered woman alone in either place. I dressed in a loose shirt with sleeves to the elbows, loose shorts to my knee, and a hat. I would ask the desk clerk before I left the hotel every morning if my attire would offend anyone. He would always laugh, and tell me that people were used to tourists, and not to worry. Hope this helps, and by all means, visit Jerusalem as well. Karen
