shana-tova , means have a good new year last night was the bringing in of the jewish new year but it is not celebrated as in the western countries like australia with fireworks and reveling it is celebrated by eating sweet foods to symbolise a sweet year ahead and by many prayers asking for forgiveness it is considered a time of judgment and atonement for sins to begin a new year in 10 days is the yom kippur day of attonement so many spend the next 10 cays preparing as yom kippur is also the day they expect the messiah to come. if he does come this year we will see you all at sinai , until he comes shana-tova

today we were going to go on the temple mount but it is closed so we will do a walk from mt of olives to jerusalem going past the garden of gethsemane

now its time to go and have breakfast 7am
