WOW!

We were a bit surprised in Atlanta when our plane had to be pulled off the flying line because it had a fuel leak that couldn't be located. About three hours after our original departure time we began our journey to Tel Aviv. We had a different plane that performed marvelously. Mitchel has declared that he loves flying! We were safely delivered in Tel Aviv to 71 degree temperatures at 8:40 p.m. Israel time. Susie loved that.

We were met by Shimon, a wonderful driver that delivered us to Jerusalem and Mount Zion Hotel, where we learned that our reservations were not. Yes, you read correctly. Our reservations were not. YHWH has His own plans for us. We were kindly transported to Bet Norvegia (House of Norway), a Christian-run hostel in the German Colony that is about two blocks from our friend, Bridgett! (Bridgett was introduced to us through another friend who recently visited here.)

Bridgett took us out for our first full day in The Land. She is a fabulous guide. We left Bet Norvegia at about 10:00 this morning and went to see the apartment where Bridgett rents, then we headed off to the Old

City. We walked along the busy street, Emek Rephaim, watching for the zany drivers whose horns go off intermittently, but without enraged faces or glances. We saw shops with everything you would want and then some. Rob was tickled that only Coke is sold here - can't even find a Pepsi! We "walked into the pictures" that we have looked at for years, dreaming of the day we could do this. It looks just like them! We saw children, with the traditional Hassidic curls, cheering at overhead helicopters flying protectively over the City. The stones upon stones that are dated to the days of our Savior Yeshua were impressive, and EVERYWHERE. We visited The Wall, also called the Wailing Wall, the only remaining stones from the Second Temple period. Mitchel got to see real-life soldiers, and was pleased to pose with a kind young man who serves as a border policeman. Afterward we headed back to the German Colony and met up with our dear friends, Candi and Ron, for a deliciously tasty dinner. We walked Bridgett to her apartment and now we are enjoying a family atmosphere with other Worldwide Biblical Zionists and dear Norwegian friends. Actually, we will
