A few kilometres down the track, we travelled alongside Ennerdale Water, and couldn't resist another dip in the water! Along through a cypress forest on the other side of the valley, winding our way up to the Black Sail YHA, where we stopped for lunch. Then upwards in the clouds, up the side of Loft Beck and the summit at Grey Knots. (600m). From there it was all downhill, to the pretty town of Rosthwaite, nestled between the mountains.

25km walk.

Every body of water means a swim, and climbing 2 mountains on the hottest day UK has had this year, had us melting! The swims are what have saved us & were magnificent! The British think we are bonkers, but we now have them & some Californians joining us on our swims! Xx ?
