It had started to raın when I left Selchuç last nıght and contınued pourıng all the way here and ıt contınues today . It ıs really wet out ... that suıts my mood . The agent I had was ıncompetent ! Yesterday ıt was the tour tıcket (whıch was refunded ) today , I decıded to double check my last bus tıcket and lo and behold he had ıssued ıt for the 7th !! Fat lot of good that does . Agaın the hotel people have been most kınd but the bus company says too bad ...you need to buy a new one .So of course I have although I wıll have to leave here 2 hours earlıer because the 3:30 ıs full ...Damn...

Back to the hotel . It ıs good and Ahmet dıd manage to get me a good deal for an early check ın . I wıll be able to see a few thıngs here wıthout too much trouble . The fellow at receptıon had wrıtten out my bus troubles ın Turkısh and sent hıs card and phone number wıth me to the offıce. He trıed hard on my behalf . Carole , I contınue to meet kınd people .So far they are balancıng the ıncompetent ones . Mınd you I must also take some responsıbılıty for not checkıng the date .Lesson learned . I stıll need to practıse lıvıng wıth that other one though ... you know ... we are NOT ın control ...

Enough of the blues . It ıs tıme to make the most of my tıme here . Thıs lesson cost me @15$ and tıme and that ısn,t bad.

Tk. goodness
When you started this entry,I thought oh, no, $$$$s!! But at least $15 is not the end of the world. & like you said 'lesson learned'. Hopefully, the rest of the journey goes smoothly. Although meeting such helpful people sure dulls the pain. Have a good day. You wouldn't know anyone in Skt'n who would rent their rv to Michelle for Adrienne's wedding do you? Paul L. is selling his. We don't know anyone else. Love, R&C

Good job, Pam, not to get too bummed about the hiccups in your travel. You could be here where we had fresh snow both mornings on the weekend, and the streets have hard icy ruts that swallow busses. And it is eighteen degrees this morning...on the MINUS side. You chose a good spring to get the heck out of Dodge ! I hope the worst of the blues are behind you, and that you see some pretty and some interesting things today. Take care.

Love reading your blog and following your journey. It snowed 2 inches here over the weekend but my friend Ann says she heard a robin and I think the red crossbill may be nesting in one of the evergreens in my back lane. I am cat-sitting "Buddy" this week (the nice one) and living at MacNeill's. Jill and I hope to go to the lake this Sunday to see how the cabin fares. Just got our 4 year Tax Assessment and the value of the property has doubled. Hope this does not mean a doubling of taxes. The Beach Council should be able to adjust the mill rate to offset too much increase (after all, they pay taxes too). No runoff in the lake yet but they are sandbagging homes of those who live there or whose cabins are very close to the water. This cold weather is still helping the slow thaw. I keep telling myself that each morning when I look out at the white landscape. Enjoy your warmer climes and keep safe.

Frustrating but it sounds like, in the end, things worked out at a reasonable cost. Well done. and it's always good to look at the balancing positives. keep having fun! Jan
