Drove through to lichtenstien today and didn't get lost! I am getting much more confident driving on the wrong side of the road, and just as well too as I had many narrow tunnels and a couple of windy mountain roads to go along!

Got in around midday and checked in, hotel is great! We have a magnificent view over the rhine valley from our room and lying in bed you look out to the mountains... Magic!

We headed for the city center to see what we could find... Not much unless you are a museum person... Still wandered a bit, grabbed lunch and aimed for the castle.

As the castle is being used by the prince's family as residence you can't go too close, but we still got close enough to feel special! We continued up the windy roads to Malbun which is a major skiing and hiking area. None of the chairlifts were operating so we just lazily strolled and watched the creek bubbling away, very relaxing...

This afternoon we hung out at the hotel on the balcony for our room reading books and chatting, I got a little sleep in as well... Had dinner downstairs in the restaurant and when I said I was vego the chef got excited and asked if he could make a lichtenstien speciality for me... Which of course I said yes to! It was something like Mac and cheese with pan fried onions on top and apple sauce on the side... I know I know, apple sauce? But it went really well for some reason! And the chef was happy cos he got to make a special dish hehe

So no sightings of sir ulrich von lichtenstien (see a knights tale for this reference) but we do think we saw the princess while we were having lunch in the city! Well she looked like the lady on the postcards at least!

Tomorrow is a long drive to luxembourg, so I sleep now...
