"Penny Lane", "Strawberry Fields", "Love, Love Me Do", and "Eleanor Rigby" are trapped in my head and they can't get out!!! This is what happens to you when you do a 2 day Beatles tour in Liverpool. This is the castle where the ruling monarch's oldest son is named The Prince of Wales. Prince Charles' investiture occured here in 1969.

The island of Anglesey happens to be where William and Kate are living while he finishes with the Royal Air Force. They live in the town of Holyhead, on the other side of the island. Public transport being what it was, we didn't get there.

This hotel is built right into the castle walls. It was the town's hot spot and also our hotel.

One of the many castles that King Edward I had built to defend Wales. This one was built in a short 4 years, from 1283-1287. The medieval walls still surround the town of Conwy.

This Lesser Black-backed gull built her nest on one of the towers of the castle. There were 3 chicks, but only 2 showed up for the photo.
