First Day

Today we finally arrived in London surprisingly only a few hours late. We started out at noon saturday and arrived in London around 5 am your time ( 10ish UK time). Our flight to Charlotte was delayed, so we had to switch to a new flight from Philly to Heathrow. Every plane we got on was delayed whether it was on the runway at the de-icing machine or in the terminal. When we got into Heathrow we decided to just splurge and split a taxi. Even then we weren't off the hook. As we are turning onto Gower Street in West Central London we were hit, well tapped, by a crazy driver on a merging street. Flustered our cab driver pulled over and began talking to the idiot who hit us and another guy ran up defending our driver. Needless to say curse words were flying from the outraged driver, in a british accent I might add, (he was also a bmw or mercedes driver of course) but finally we got on our way and completed our looong journey. Everyone here is really nice so far and I have been having so much fun exploring and getting to know everyone. We have already made it to our first pub. Orientation is tomorrow at 10. Can't Wait!
