This blog entry was delayed not just by my COVID experience but by the sad news on our last day in London that my younger sister, Jane, died unexpectedly in Victoria. On our return to Victoria, we managed to have a few days with the family which involved a lot of sadness but also a lot of happiness as we remembered what a great person she was. After walking up Vera Lynn Way to the top, you get some marvellous views. We had planned to walk along the trail in the picture to the lighthouse but the wind was just too strong. It was blowing on shore but even so...

Unbelieveable number of trucks and cars lining up to take the ferry to France. We have seen this in TV shows but even more impressive in real life.

Somewhere out there is France. Unfortunately, it was too hazy to see anything. With the strong winds, the ferries had quite a job getting in and out of the harbour.

Dover Castle

Been around for almost 1000 years. Interesting place even though the wind made walking around, even inside, very difficult. Interesting displays on how the area was used in WW II.
