A beach holiday never loses its appeal. Sun, sand, and surf are the perfect way to relax, reclining on a beach towel, swimming, or playing with the kids. Some of the best beaches in the UK are Watergate Bay, Newquay, which boasts a two mile stretch of golden sand backed by cliffs and caves; the lush white sands of Pentle Bay, Tresco; and Tenby in Wales with its two beaches, majestic cliffs, and colourful houses.

Hidden gems such as Kynance Cove in Cornwall and Winterton Beach, Norfolk also supply their fair share of soft sand and, on a good day, glittering blue sea. Beach holidays remain popular, but make sure to prepare with sunblock and sunglasses! Also take a book, download pixel art such as Google Play’s Colour By Numbers on your phone or tablet for when you need some stimulation and, of course, don't forget your bucket and spade.
