The Inisemerre Ferry! She bore us away from Holyhead, Wales toward Ireland. What a relief to sit and float across the Irish Sea after our bristly navigations on the english rails. When the girls decided to go for a wee bit to eat in the ferry restaurant, I opted to stay behind for some delicious moments of solitude. I felt like a queen, nestled in a velveteen chair, with the best seat in the house.
The enormous window before me offered an unobstructed view of the sea. The motions was relaxing, the waves were soothing, lulling me softly into an altered state of consciousness. You know, that resting place between wakefulness and sleep? It was there that I had a sense of an energy akin to those tales of the Dolphins that sometimes accompanies ships on the high seas - floating and following, and welcoming us just outside the window. Was I dreaming?
