We spent today walking along a slate trail at a village called Corris. The trail took us along a valley at the head of which had once been a huge slate mine, and we had a lovely walk along a crystal clear stream, which once was cloudy with slate dust. Glad I live now and now 200 years ago. To end up we had lunch in the café. You have to be out all day when someone is decorating your kitchen!
