We spent today walking along a slate trail at a village called Corris. The trail took us along a valley at the head of which had once been a huge slate mine, and we had a lovely walk along a crystal clear stream, which once was cloudy with slate dust. Glad I live now and now 200 years ago. To end up we had lunch in the café. You have to be out all day when someone is decorating your kitchen! ... read more
