Pembrokeshire Coastal Path from Nolten Haven to Solva.

Alltrails app. 4 hours even walking. 7.58 miles. 1276 feet elevation gain.

Garmin forerunner 25. 4 hours and 1 minute walking. 7.58 miles. 1138 elevation gain.

A granola, fruit, yoghurt breakfast with smoked salmon and scrambled eggs was my breakfast today. I will miss this when we leave here tomorrow.

Jones Coastal Taxi was out front before 9 am and had us to Nolten Haven and on the path by 0910.

Of course we can only climb up from the beach and it was about 300 feet in the first quarter mile. Gary's Garmin gave us over 1600 feet elevation gain today. From Nolten Haven to Newgale beach where we stopped for coffee and facilities was 3 miles.

As we left Newgale beach it was of course up again. The next 4.5 miles was all up, then down, then up again. But there were more people walking in both directions on this stretch than we have seen on the path all the other days put together.

Chuck engaged a couple on holiday from near Cambridge England. Solva came into view but we still had more ups and downs before dropping down to the harbor. Called Frank's taxi to say we would be there by 1315. He said he would pick us up at 1345. We had time for a refreshing tonic water at the busy Harbour Inn before Frank arrived.

Frank will shuttle us back tomorrow morning.

The Twr y Felin Hotel, where we stay next, is owned and managed by the same group as here at Roch Castle. Hope it is as nice.

Well, the evening meal held many surprises. It was an unexpected early 80th birthday celebration. What a memorable event. Food was delicious.
