Hello there all
Well here we are again in Wales-sun is shining and the sky is clear so although cold it will be fresh and crisp and clear. We had a great time exploring England, stopped in Weymouth which was quiet, except for 'Elvis' in the pub. We walked along the waterfront - punch and judy have been put away for the winter. Then on to Falmouth through lovely scenery, stopping in Ivybridge for lunch. Lovely sea bass in the local fish and chips shop. On to Padstow for a meal in Rick Stein's restaurant - not good value for money. Go to his cafe instead. Locals call it Padstein-he owns six places in Padstow now. It's a quaint town. We drove to a very windy Lands End and on to St Ives. Full of artists and a warren to drive round. Very quaint, but better to park and walk than negotiate the lanes! We had a stop at St Judy for a cornish cream tea (yum!) The next day we stopped at St Tudy to visit friends - such a lovely corner of England and lovely to catch up with Michael and Hazel. Then on to Wales - £5.10 to cross the Severn bridge!! Arrived and out the following night to a wedding party. The bride and groom were married in Grand Caneria and 50 odd family and friends booked out the hotel for a week. The party was great fun - they even had a chocolate fountain! Remember Dawn French in the Vicar of Dibley? I'm going in!?? No didn't do it-tempting though. So now we are in the final bit of this trip- leave Wales on Thursday for Heathrow and L.A. Still enjoying it but looking forward to seeing everybody again - ready to party??? Will log in once more before the finale-boy it's been a trip and a half! Love you all ..Jayne and Kevinxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
