28 May 2017 A day of island hopping.
One of our aims on this trip is to reach the northernmost point of the U.K. which is on the Shetland island of Unst. To get there you need to cross another island Yell. Consequently, our first job was to book the necessary ferries.
When we arrived in Yell we had a pleasant day touring up its west and north side.
We caught an early evening boat to Unst and after some difficulty eventually found a night stop in the carpark of a reconstructed Viking ship and longhouse on the outskirts of the village of Haroldswick.
