G has just turned ten months old and she's been a busy little bee this week! Feels like the first week this year when no-one's been sick or teething. She's had some good long naps (of course not in the bed, only in the sling or in the car, but nevertheless) and it seems her little body has gone into development overdrive.
She's been climbing stairs on her own. Climbing everything in fact. I found her standing up on J's chair in the kitchen, which is not ideal. She's been walking gripping our fingers for some time now, but this week for the first time she started pushing a walker along on her own.
She's been doing some pretty good waving, and has even taught herself to clap. I say taught herself, it's all come out of nowehere, she hasn't had the indulgence of devoted one-to-one clapping tuition as Jamie did.
But that's G, she's Little Miss Independent. Where J is physically fearless, G is socially fearless. When J was her age he would cling to me at toddler groups, seldom venturing out on his own, but not G. As soon as we arrive she's off, crawling round
the room, pinching toys off other babies, pulling herself up on random mothers' legs. There's no stopping my little Duracell Bunny!
Today we had fun on a modelling shoot for a friend's hair accessory business. Having no hair didn't seem to be a problem, she sported about a dozen different hairbands over the course of three different outfits. Once we get the official photos back I'll add them, but for now I've just put in a few snaps I grabbed.
I'm really pleased to have captured some of the little moments from the week and strung them together in a video, aptly titled
