Me an Pam sat here n had a picnic lunch, lots of people out enjoying the sun
Well its been about 2 weeks an have either been working or spending my days off in the sun (it was too good to go to a computer). Last week it got up to 17 degrees!! Now if i was in Aussie I would be bundled up but here, its time for singlets and rolled up jeans. It seems everyone gets excited, cafe tables go out on walkways, icecream vans pop up an the usually deserted gardens are packed with little kiddies and those bathing in the sun having a picnic. Had both Thursday and Friday where i just kicked back with a few mates, had a look around the shops it was great.

Your probably thinking graveyards!! Ok so I actually went into one!! Where i live in pretty much right behind one of the worlds most haunted graveyards, Greyfriars Graveyard. Its a bit of a tradition for all the backpackers to at least make one trip into into to it, so a couple of us at 3am in the morning made the 50mtrs or so up the hill an into it. One of the guys works at the hostel so he could tell us the story but

Seats were all outside with lots of Tshirts to be seen on my street
it was a bit of a trek getting into there (have the bruises to prove it!!) So we went into the graveyard bit, said hello to police, so all was legal!! outside the gates. The story goes (i think) that there was a prison attached here at one point were conditions wernt that good an hundreds (maybe a thousand actually, look it up) were kept there and probably not treated that well. The judge that put them all there is also buried at the graveyard. So the story goes in 1998 a homeless person accidently broke the tombstone of the judge an ever since there has been heaps of sightings of him. Mostly in the prison part of the graveyard. Ok so were in the graveyard and to get to the prison bit you have to climb a pretty big wall (or get help from the boys) walk along the wall about 30 metres an frop down into the prison. Its a pretty creepy place, its basically a big courtyard which is surrounded by cellars. We sat inside one an closed the gate for a while, pitch dark an all. Anyway didnt see anything but would be a bit hard

Again one of the hot days sat with pam on the street opposite the uni an drank up the sun
to get out of there quick if we had. They say people have come out of there with big scratches across there bodies (maybe true but the wall would do that too you too!!)

Works been going fine, went in yesterday an gave them my 2 weeks notice so finishing up there next thursday an having the weekend off. Still havent done a few things that i want to yet so will have to fit those things in.

One thing i can say is that Scotland is sport obsessed, a bit like Australia. Except we talk about the cricket an rugby. they talk about football and golf. We had golf on our work tv an everyone was glued to it!! Golf! Its their national game i guess but it really isnt that riveting. Ok well off day today but weather is a bit windy so will stay in an do some domestic duties that Ive been neglecting. Bye for now!!
