Hello everyone
Just a quick note to say we love hearing from all of you. For those of you who take the time to send a quick note after reading the travel pod entry, Thank You. For those of you who have not taken the 30 seconds to send us quick note, Come On! Ok, now that I have gotten that off my chest....Polo anyone.
Our friends Fiona and Anton who live in Burwash had told Kim and I about the local Polo match (Chucker). Kim and I hopped in the car, picked up Beth and headed out to Burwash to experience our first polo chucker. One of Burwash's neighboring towns is Tunbridge Wells. This is a town of substantial money. This is where most of the people who play polo live. http://www.brightlingpolo.com/brightling/home.htm When we arrived at the polo field there was a plethora of expensive cars including a beautiful new Ferrari. There were several people lounging and drinking Veuve Clicquot champagne and enjoying a beautiful summer afternoon. The field is much bigger than we had anticipated. It is nine times the size of a soccer field. Of course it would have to be to have polo
ponies running back and forth. The chucker was much more exciting then I thought it would be. How the players can manage to hit this little ball with a long handled mallet while running top speed is beyond me. To make the chucker even more interesting the announcer was hilarious. Lots of jokes, even making fun of the English polo fans. It was a great afternoon with perfect weather, great company and an exciting sport to see. Here is the link to my video of the polo chucker,
After polo we went back to Fiona and Anton's house and on the way we drove by two famous musicians' homes. The first was Robert Smith, the lead singer of the Cure. Both homes were hard to see from the road so I have included links to the Google maps satellite image so you can see them from the birds eye view.

The second was Roger Daltrey, the lead singer of The Who. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=burwash+uk&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=63.215425,107.578125&ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=51.005273,0.341456&spn=0.001566,0.003283&z=18&iwloc=addr
