The trip home

For our drive to the ferry we started using minor roads which were very pleasant and quiet. By lunch time, we were just south of Troyes and realised we need to start using the motorways, which we did and arrived in Calais with enough time to enjoy a quick steak frites before catching our ferry at 9pm. We were delayed by fog in the channel and after queuing for customs (sods law, we were last off the boat) we left Dover at 10.15, arriving home at 1.45.
