Had a really lazy day today. Breakfast at 8am and then off for a short drive to Bracklesham Bay to hunt for some fossils. The beach is a pebble beach with grey sand out near the sea. The tide was out and there were lots of people around. Some were just swimming (it was a balmy 10 degrees) but there were lots of people on boards and some paragliders. It was a bit windy and I had to pull my coat up over my ears because they started to hurt a bit. People were walking their dogs and there were 3 horses out as well. It was a very restful morning for everyone. I bought back a bag of fossils. Some I don’t know about but they look interesting anyway.

Went to Sainsbury’s at Bognor Regis and bought a thermos and a food storer because I need to take my lunch everyday next week as I’ll be in the bush. I also went to Mountain Warehouse and bought a pair of waterproof trousers for next week as they are expecting rain.

I arrived back at the room by about 1:30pm and decided that I had enough for the day

While these look like ordinary pebbles they are actually loads of fossils.
and had a sleep. I had bought some food in Sainsburys and had that for lunch and dinner. I think of all my trips to the UK this is the first day that I had a rest …LOL… probably the last. I have a quiet day tomorrow. I think I might look for some chalk fossils at Bognor and then I need to get to Hailsham this afternoon for the next 6 nights. I’ve never stayed in one place for so long 😊
