Well after our much awaited departure from Melbourne we are finally settling into Taunton, Somerset. Post a hasty and anxiety provoking start at Melbourne airport discovering we were going to have pay $AU 2.5G for excess baggage! Thankfully there was also a freight company within the airport so we crazily repacked at the airport and left. For those travelling OS, 20kg regular luggage and 7kg for carry on for economy seats. Please make a note of this, as the system has tighten up a lot and it made a significant difference to our hip pockets! The best part of our journey over was Charles pretending we were battery hens, sticking our heads up as soon as an air hostess walked passed with anything that slightly resembled food.
