Hi there, everyone! Sorry that I have not posted in a few days, but Ben and I had a busy weekend! Here, I would like to tell you all about it!

On Friday night after Ben got done with school, we went to the British Museum. There, they have all kinds of artifacts from different cultures around the world. They had exhibits for each culture, including muslim, mexican, egyptian, roman, greek, and asyrian. There were all kinds of cool things to see, but the coolest thing was that we got to see the Rosetta Stone. Yes, the actual, for real, this-is-not-an-imitation Rosetta Stone! That was very cool. 😊

Saturday's weather was looking wet, so we decided to do another museum day since we wouldn't want to have bad pictures of the outsides of the major sites in London. We went to the Natural History museum which was really interesting. When you walked into the gorgeous building, there was a dinosaur skeleton to greet you! There was also a dinosaur exhibit with a robotic T-Rex that was moving his arms, head, mouth, and tail. The little kids who were there were totally fascinated by it. It was pretty neat. We

also went to a "treasures of the earth" exhibit which featured the minerals and precious stones, which I really enjoyed looking at. There was also an exhibit about birds, mammals (with a life-size model of a blue whale), and ocean invertebrates.

We spent about 4 hours in the museum and still didn't see everything, but then went over to the Science museum so we could spend a little time there before it closed. Unfortunately, the museum was mostly about the history of science, and there was only one floor that had the fun, interactive science exhibits. So, we wandered through the history part, and spent most of our time with all of the kids at the interactive exhibit. After that, we called it a day and spent the rest of the evening relaxing.

Sunday was the day we went to the Tower of London. It was so cool! The whole place has 20 towers all together, and it it more of a fortress than a tower. It is most famous for being a prison and beheading site. Our tour guide shared stories about different prisoners and mysteries of the tower. After the tour, we were free to explore

the rest of the place on our own. We went and saw the actual crown jewels. As we gawked at the huge stones on the crowns and the elaborate detail all I could say was "oh my gosh" and "wow" over and over and over again. They were amazing. Unfortunately, they were so amazing that we weren't allowed to take pictures, so I can't show you what we saw. However, if you google "crown jewels london" into google images, you see pictures of some of the things we saw. It was amazing.

We also saw suits of armor worn by kings in the past, which was much more interesting for Ben than the crown jewels. It was pretty neat to see the armor designs, and they had armor for the horses displayed, too! After that, we walked along the outer wall of the fortress and enjoyed the sites from there. As we left the tower, there stood Tower Bridge, which is the bridge that you think of when you think of London. I was pretty much obsessed with getting pictures of it, although the pictures don't capture the detail of the architecture of the bridge. It was beautiful.

On Monday, Ben got home early enough from school that we could go see something during the day still. We decided to go to Buckingham Palace... another place they didn't allow us to take pictures. But it was SO beautiful! Every room was so elaborate and breathtaking. It was an audio tour, so we wore a pair of headphones and pressed the play button each time we entered the next room. It was so beautiful. I told Ben I wanted our house to look like that one day, and he said "okay" 😊

That evening, we went to the original Hard Rock Cafe. We ate a very yummy dinner there, and visited the gift shop and the "Vault" where they hold many of their most valuable things from music stars. It was a lot of fun, although a bit expensive. When it is about 20 pounds per person to eat, you are looking at 40+ pounds for dinner. That is over 60 dollars. But, it was totally worth it because this was the Original Hard Rock Cafe, where the Hard Rock chains all began. We really enjoyed the evening, but were tired and fell asleep once we got home.

Well, that was our busy weekend! We rested on Tuesday since we were so tired. I took a two-hour nap that afternoon, and still fell asleep around 10pm. I feel better today, so hopefully we will get to to something fun this evening. That's all for now! Miss you all and love you lots!
