Docking Station?Docking Station?Docking Station?

snuggled in, awaiting their owners
The House boats
Looking at my photos, I see I had forgotten to mention one part of the first day ā€“ along the way to Bath we stopped at the Caen Hill Locks Divizes
Caen is celtic for beautiful, this was my little snippet of new word knowledge of the day, thought Iā€™d share it.
Here I got to first sample an English cup of tea and nibbles and was there to see a house boat come into the locks, as it had laboriously spent the entire morning working its way up the Caen hill, and managed to time their arrival to coincide with mine, (ever so considerate of them) and so I was treated to the sight of seeing how the locks worked. The only thing missing was the big work horse pulling the boat along, though that path way was obviously put to great use, walkers and their dogs a-plenty were enjoying it and the fine day.
I was enchanted by the prettiness. See photos
And was also amused to see the ducks were Not likewise moved by the scene
