So i went into Trailfinders today with the sole objective of putting a deposit down and booking my RTW ticket, but because of the whole airline industry thing of releasing flights only upto 330 days before hand,Meant it wasn't feasible.basically up until today i had shopped round and most agents quoted the same price and i had heard good things about trailfinders and i knew it was the Oneworld ticket i wanted.

As some of you may know, the is the Oneworld,Star Alliance and Great Escape RTW ticket and they all have either a continent or mileage based price orientation.I wanted to do N.America,S.America,NZ,Oz, Parts of Asia and India and Nepal and then drop the last leg of my ticket and go work off the remainder of my 23 month WHV (working holiday Visa) in NZ and then finish up spending two months or so in Canada staying with my sister, bro in law and nephew.

Well i found in Trailfinders that Central America is included within the North American sector and so im hitting central America on my way down to Santiago.

So the nice guy Terence at Trailfinders advised i could really only book the N.American sector and so he has held my seat on the NYC flight (I Plan to spend New Years eve in Time Square) and in April/May he will check availability and call me in to confirm the N.America,C.America and S.American sectors and firm up proper dates for the rest of the trip is flights are loaded by the airlines.

So i wanted to book it so i had that fire in my heart that it was booked and the was no way out now and i was doing it.I do want to do it, just don't want anything to get in the way like doubts etc.

But Terrence has secured my NYC which makes me feel better as they get booked out fast because of the time of year etc.Finding out that i can throw Central America into the mix aswell is cool,i maybe trying to fit too much in...........but hey you only live once and i may have to save up for a longtime to do something like this again😊

The Itinerary for the America's is as follows:

Fly LHR (London Heathrow) to NYC (New York,JFK airport) 3-4 days in NYC and then fly to Ronald Regan airport in Washington and 3-4 days there,Overland on the Amtrak taking in the bayous to New Orleans 3-4 days there and then fly to las vegas 2 days there and then onto Grand canyon and overland it to San francisco, meet some familty while in san fran and so about 4 days there and then down the coast to LA (los angeles) fly out of LAX down to Mexico city and then overland it down through Central America and then fly to Santiago and down to Patagonia some trekking and down to Punta Arenas which is the most southerly point of south America and is on the Magellan straits and is the port for many vessels heading to the antartic
(Im planning 2 months in South America) then overland up to Mendoza in Argentina and then Buenos Aires and the Iguazu falls that border Brazil and Argentina and upto Rio and then fly from Sao paulo to Lima and upto macho Pichu and possibly columbia and then down for some fun in Chille and fly out of Santiago to Auckland

Then the is NZ,Oz,Asia,India and Nepal, but i will go into more details regards those areas in another entry to my blog.
