Day 2; Still no sign of jet lag. Think I won't be getting it. The joys of being young and fit huh? Ok well maybe not fit, but young definitely! Today is Thursday and I didn't have much of a sleep in because of a very cute and adorable, but also in an extreme terrible twos stage baby cousin of mine who has the room next to my one. He likes to sing in the mornings. It is the most adorable thing ever.
My first outing in London was today and me and my Aunt walked to the corner store to get me an Oyster Card (its like a bus card but works to get me on the tube too (the trains) so it is very handy for London) ... There was too many brackets in that sentence. Anyways, we got the card and put some money on it and walked to Limehouse Train Station, which is on the DLR - Docklands Light Railway, a section of the underground. The tube is crazy, it's super fast, super cramped and you have to stand most of the time. It is very hot on these trains, and the tunnels between
the tube lines and the streets smell really really bad. It's interesting watching people in the tube tunnels, you have to stand on the right side of the escalators cause there is this weird bunch of people that walk very fast down them and get REALLY pissed off when you are in their way. People are always rushing, I don't like rushing. I think that when you are rushing you don't look up enough and therefore are missing everything that is going on around you. Live in the moment people.
So after two different tube lines and some walking we arrive in West End and start to wander. We run some errands and then decide to get my phone in action! £15 later I have a new cel number, 3GBs of data, unlimited texting and 1000 minutes of call time. Rather chuffed with the deal I scored we head to a cafe for a drink. £2.50 for a fresh orange juice at a cute little cafe makes me a happy girl. I am really beginning to enjoy London! After that we do some posh food shopping at an expensive deli and begin the trek home on the tube.
Exhausted and hungry we arrive home and relax.
I survived my first day in London, I didn't get mugged or beaten up, people were actually quite nice and prices weren't too bad.
London you are not living up to your bad reputation!

Day 3; Woken early again thanks to my lovely little cousin. We read books for half an hour and then we climb into my bed to build a pillow fort which went surprisingly well! Today I decide to ride the bus into the city to Oxford Street to do some exploring and shopping. I walked to the bus stop just around the corner and waited for the bus which came within five minutes. Three hours, some time being lost in the busy London streets and multiple stores later I had two pairs of sunglasses, two beanies, a new pair of converse and a bunch of postcards to send home. I trudged into a food court for something to eat and placed my full shopping bags down next to me. I then walked back down the street towards the train station and five minutes down the road I looked down at my
wrist and realised I had left all of my shopping bags at the food court whist having lunch. I sprinted back to the food court and thankfully the shopping bags were still sitting there next to the table I had been sitting at. Exhausted and stressed out I headed back to Oxford Circus tube station and caught the train home.
