Buckingham palace changing of the guard Monday didn’t start out so well. Claire woke up feeling strange after being sick all week and decided to head to an urgent care to make sure she didn’t have bronchitis. Once she got there, she read her email and discovered that Susan woke up sick and was heading to an urgent care also. We both were cleared to travel so we finished packing and headed to Raleigh. We got to the hotel at the exact same time and parked our cars. We took the shuttle to the airport and we went to the Delta club to relax. Our first flight was delayed almost an hour but we still made our flight to London.
The flight sounded like a hospital as so many folks were sick like us. Neither of us got much if any sleep and we were glad to land. Being that we both felt bad we decided to take a taxi to the hotel. It was a relaxing drive. The hotel is nice and the room was ready so we could go up. We freshened up and then headed out to walk the town so that we wouldn’t fall asleep. We saw Buckingham Palace( where
we saw the changing of the guard), Westminster Abbey, Parliament and Big Ben. After that we walked to the river and saw the Eye. Both of us were getting hungry so we headed back towards the hotel and found a pub. After liner (late lunch early dinner) we headed to the hotel to organize for the next day and get to bed early.

Smith Streets
I liked your pictures of the "Smith Streets" and the other sights. Sorry the trip didn't start well, but I hope both of you get feeling better quickly and you enjoy your time. Love you both!
