The Heel Stone

The Heel Stone, which lies northeast of the sarsen circle, is a rough stone, 16 feet above ground, leaning inwards towards the stone circle. Windsor Castle is far more impressive than I could have imagined, the grand reception room is just that GRAND! This was a lot in one day. Stonehenge is amazing but I always think of the movie Spinal Tap when I see it! ? if you don’t know what I’m talking about you need to look it up. Happy you made it back to the flat in one piece, take day to rest and eat some good pub grub.
2nd May 2018

Well, seems a definite full day. Many miles you all have added on, loved seeing the pictures from Stonehenge, and looks like the weather held up beautiful blue skies and clear photos. Making me hungry for bacon... might have to pull some from the freezer, lol. Hoping Danielle and Larry have safe travels back state side. (Dee I am sure your invite to the royal wedding shall arrive on time...don't unpack your bags)
