Emjoy some pictures of my friends. Yes, I wrote emjoy. I am too lazy to go back and change it and my head hurts. I guess in the time it took to write all this I could've changed it. Maybe. The world may never know.... read more

Here I am back in London :-( The tour is all over and I miss it horribly. My tour manager was the coolest woman, and I made really good friends with her. It is so weird to think that I'm pretty much never going to see those people again :-( I've been hanging out with a Kiwi I met on tour named Lisa shes cool and is over here with a visa so I'm helping her look for a job and get settled. I have just booked a 3 day tour around Scotland for before I head off to Denmark. So I'm off to Edinburgh on Sunday, although haven't booked aflight yet so I better get around to that!? Anyway now to MYKONOS (a Greek Island):Ohhh 3 days in a luxury resort on a Greek Island, ... read more

Hello again, I'm heading off on my Contiki tour at 6am tomorrow. YAY!! I have seen only half of what I wanted to see here. The city is so huge with so many things to distract me when I'm on my way to somewhere. But here's a quick run down of where I've been and what I've seen. Friday 25th I headed to Buckingham palace, leaving after 9:30 because the transport tickets drop by half after then. I decided to see the changing of the guards, however this weekend is a bank holiday weekend!!! So 50 thousand other tourists were there as well so once the ceremony was half way through I gave up at looking at the backs of other peoples heads and wandered up to Hyde Park, past the war monuments. Then got lost ... read more

Hey there I made it I'm in London!!!!! Yay!!! Although the 24 hours of flying here made it seem a very hollow victory to be here, if only for a short time. The jet lag was ridiculous, I only slept for like 4 hours in the 24 hours of flying and because you are supposed to stay awake until night time in your destination I got to 6 pm here and literally passed out (I don't even know how I got into my pyjamas?). But it's now Friday morning and I think I'm over it, although I still manage to be wide awake at 6am every morning. Although that could have something to do with the bus loads of Contiki people heading off on their trips at that time in the morning just outside my window!!! ... read more

Enroute to London. Left the ship this morning and swung by the hotel where I’d left my glasses. Sure enough they were waiting for me at the desk. Chalk up another one for the lucky monkey. Currently on a Southwest Trains train to London Waterloo Station. Having worked on the computer on Amtrak and Southwest Trains, I can tell you the ride is much smoother on Southwest Trains. It’s all about track maintenance. I think many of the train lines in England lose money. Not sure why, this particular line always seems to run full in coach. That and the luggage storage problem is why Monkey and I are in first class. We’ve got a compartment all to ourselves. Monkey looks like he’s fallen asleep. It’s difficult to tell since he sleeps with his eyes open. ... read more

HOly MOly, I just arrived in London from Amsterdam for my last night on European soil. I booked this crazy bus ride from Amsterdam to London---12 hours, but only 35 euros...so since I am officially poor right now, it sounded like a good deal. I arrived at the Amstel Station in Amsterdam at 7:15 this morning and rode a nice charter bus through The Netherlands, Belgium, part of France to get to the port city of Calais where we then caught the ferry from Calais to Dover, UK (MY FAVORITE PART!!!--we got to see the white cliffs as we pulled into the port) and bused from Dover to London...not bad for a single day. ALthough I was accompanied by a crazy guy singing out loud in a foreign language to his IPOD for almost the entire ... read more

We spent all of yesterday walking around London, including Picadilly Circus, Oxford Circus, Covent Garden and walked by the British Museum. We ate some disgusting food at a corner Pub, the fish and chips, bangers and mash and a hamburger...none of which looked or tasted any good. Let's just say a few of us spent most of the rest of the afternoon in and out of the bathroom. We saw the Producers last night at a theater in Covent Garden. It was a funny show and we are all glad we went. After the show, we went back to the hotel and passed out in our cute little beds. Today we are going on the London Bus Tour to check out the sites....... read more

I made it! one long long flight it was though in the last row near the crying baby. I've spent most of my time here riding the tube (london underground) which was, from the airport, disapointingly above ground. Met up with Dan at the hostel and since then we've been all over the place, zipping around on the tube. We really haven't waited more than 60 seconds to get on, it's quite impressive. Yesterday we went to Hyde Park, which reminds me a great deal of Central Park in NYC (but that's because the New Yorkers based it on this park). Saw Buckingham Palace too, with these huge highly elaborate gates everywhere, walked around the whole thing (on the outside). I even saw an old lady coming out of one of the doors near a guard ... read more
