We stayed local today with a visit to Stratford Park in Stroud. Em immediately spied the playground so that was the first port of call before heading to the Museum in the Park which displays the local history around Stroud. From Neolithic encampments to Roman occupation and right through the medieval period and industrialisation, the displays provided a great picture of life in the region. There was a treasure hunt for Em which kept her interested for most of the tour around the museum and then we headed back to the playground for lunch. Em made a friend, Georgia, who helped her get on the swings and climb the slides.

As it was a much nicer day than previously, we couldn’t pass up our last opportunity to sample the local Winstone’s ice cream shop next door to our apartment. They do make pretty good ice cream but the Italians still have them beaten!
