The main reason for the visit to England was to catch up with family so over the next few days we are staying with Mel’s relatives. We had arranged to arrive about lunchtime so we left early for Mel's uncle and aunt in Wooley. Set just outside the small village, their house is part of a complex that used to be a farm and included a large barn, mill with waterwheel and cottages for workers. All the buildings have been converted to homes now and their house was the carpenter’s workshop (greatly extended) next door to the old mill with the garage being made out of the old Dovecote. After lunch, we went for a walk towards the village taking some carrots and apples to feed the horses on the way. Em was too scared of them to actually feed them but liked getting near them anyway. We walked into the village and went to the playground which has the tallest set of swings I have ever seen. The really long chains make for a great swing arc and Em loved them. Afterwards, we went back to the house and had a relaxing afternoon playing with a whole new set of toys.
