A day-trip to Brighton was an excellent choice and proved to be a great opportunity to explore one of England's loveliest cities.
I particularly enjoyed the
Royal Pavilion which we stumbled across quite accidentally, wandering about as we got off the coach. It is , indeed, a masterpiece of fine architecture, an intricate mixture of extravagant oriental style comprising a great collection of paintings, sculptures, ornaments, decorations and artifacts, a fine representation of the chinoiserie style.
The Brighton Pier is home of a fun fair for children with great rides, a horror hotel with a ghost train ride and a lovely merry-go-round with colourful horseys. We dared to go on a ride like the little ones as we had 30 tokens to spend for the day 😊.
We had some mussels in white wine with garlic bread as a late lunch and headed back to the coach station where we caught a ride back to London. Enjoy the pictures and stay tuned! Ta-ta for now! xx
